Who Should Attend: Speaker Biographies: Ron Deverman, NAEP Fellow; Associate Vice-President, HNTB Ron Deverman, CEP, is Associate Vice-President and Principal Environmental Planning Manager for HNTB, a national engineering, architecture, and planning firm, managing environmental impact assessment projects for transportation infrastructure improvements such as transit, passenger and freight rail, roadways, and bridges. Ron has over 34-years-experience and he was recently awarded the HNTB Fellow Award for his exemplary commitment and dedication to HNTB and the environmental planning professions. Ron is a Past President of the National Association of Environmental Professionals (NAEP) and he was recently awarded the NAEP Fellow Award for his exemplary service and commitment to NAEP and the environmental professions.
Heidi Hartmann, Land Resources and Energy Policy Program Manager Ms. Hartmann has over 25 years of experience in environmental impact assessment, particularly with respect to energy development, land management, and health risk assessment. She is currently the manager of the Land Resources and Energy Policy Program in the Environmental Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory. Through DOE’s InSPIRE project, she and her team are working to identify and quantify the ecosystem service benefits of establishing native vegetation at solar facilities.
Laura Thorne, BS, PMP Performance Improvement Specialist Laura Thorne is a performance improvement consultant who works with STEAM-Powered (startups, tech, environmental, arts, and manufacturing) organizations and their leaders to help them become role models - highly effective, influential, growth getters. Laura believes anything is possible with the right actionable plan and exists to use her ability to make things happen to promote sustainability and goodwill in the world. Laura has over 25 years of professional experience and has had opportunities to work with some of the best and worst performing organizations. Her get-things-done super strength comes from being a natural problem-solver, environmental scientist, and alumni from the Florida Sterling Council where she was a quality evaluation examiner for 7 years. Laura holds a BS in Biology from the University of South Florida, is a certified Project Manager, and certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. View the Materials |
