RCO Staff recently posted an invitation for public comment on potential policy changes affecting the Youth Athletic Facilities (YAF) program and the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program – Local Parks category. Four policy proposals are under development:

1. Allowing acquisition only projects in the YAF Large category
2. Increasing grant limits in YAF Large and Small categories
3. Developing a variable (sliding scale) grant limit for communities eligible for match reduction
4. Limiting ability to match YAF and WWRP Local Parks grants
