The EcoTour is an hour-long walking tour of the various green infrastructure projects along Baltimore’s Inner Harbor (more information on the tours is available here). Participants will learn about the Baltimore Harbor's water quality, oyster restoration projects, rain gardens, floating wetlands and will end their tour at Mr. Trash Wheel. These tours are great for participants of all ages - the favorite part is usually pulling up live baby oysters (spat) from the water!
Participants should be comfortable walking ~2 miles and spending an extended period of time outdoors on their feet. Please make sure to wear sneakers or other comfortable shoes, and dress according to the weather. The tour will begin approximately 0.5 miles from the Lord Baltimore Hotel and end at a location approximately 1 mile from the hotel. Participants can either walk to and from the hotel or take a taxi, Uber or Lyft. Shuttle service will not be provided.
Date and Time: Monday, May 19, 2:30pm-3:30pm
Location: Meet at the registration desk
Cost: Free, but pre-registration is required. Sign up at the registration desk. The tour size is limited to 30 participants.
