About the Session

This session will provide specific project examples to demonstrate how compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act, as well as Maryland Forest Conservation Act and Chesapeake bay Critical Areas Act, leading to a broader discussion of how existing regulatory requirements help to protect the Chesapeake.

About the Presenters

Christopher Holdridge

Chris Holdridge is a Program/Project Manager with HDR and has 23 years of experience in National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and related planning studies, environmental due diligence, remediation, and environmental compliance services. His experience has primarily been with the Department of Defense, but also includes a variety of other federal and state agencies. Mr. Holdridge has managed, reviewed, and authored more than 85 NEPA documents and 300 environmental due diligence documents. His project management experience ranges from oversight of complex, multi-agency Environmental Impact Statements to Environmental Assessments and Categorical Exclusions.

 

Peyton Doub

J. Peyton Doub, PWS, CEP has worked since 2008 as a senior ecologist, wetland scientist, and environmental scientist on the staff of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Office of New Reactors. Prior to 2008, Mr. Doub worked as an environmental and wetland scientist since 1989 with Tetra Tech, Inc. and related companies. Mr. Doub has contributed to EISs for several proposed nuclear reactor projects in various parts of the United States has contributed to developing guidance for environmental reviews for proposed nuclear projects, and has testified on ecology issues before the NRC Commissioners and licensing boards.
