*NEW* NAEP 2017 Conference: Registration Assistance Grants

 

NCAEP and NAEP are aware that some of our members have difficulty attending the annual NAEP conference due to cost, and that this issue is more significant for some members. In an effort to assist members who may not otherwise be able to attend, both NCAEP and NAEP are making a limited number of $200 registration assistance grants available. NCAEP is also offering a limited number of full student registration awards (already announced). Our intent is to make participation accessible to individuals who could not otherwise attend.

 

The assistance grants are available to all NAEP full members. Affiliated members are not eligible.  If you have already registered, you also are eligible for grant consideration if you are a full member of NAEP.

 

In order to request a $200 registration grant, please provide 200 words or less that describe why you should be selected.  Criteria considered by the selection committee include: reason(s) for award request, employer contributions to registration fees, employer type (e.g. government, academia, private), employer size (e.g. 15 employees), prior involvement with/participation in NCAEP and/or NAEP. 

 

Please send your requests to NAEPgrant17@gmail.com by midnight EST on February 20, 2017.  All applicants will receive award notification on or before February 27, 2017. At that point you will be given a person-specific code for your use with a deadline of March 6 to register, or, if you are already registered, to inform us that you will use the code for a refund.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received in writing before January 27 will be refunded the conference registration fee in total less a $125 processing fee.  Cancellations received after January 27 and before March 3 will be refunded 50% of the total paid for the conference registration fee.  Cancellations received on or after March 3 will receive no refund.  With prior notification, you may substitute a different name for your registration.

HOTEL REGISTRATION AND TRAVEL INFORMATION IS UP! 

A block of sleeping rooms has been reserved for NAEP attendees at the conference rate of $149 single/double per night plus applicable state and local taxes (currently 13.5%).  Reservations by attendees must be received on or before Friday, March 3, 2017, the CUT-OFF DATE.
