Richard Burke

Richard Burke, CEP, has over 40 years of experience in managing environmental planning, permitting, and compliance practices, and in serving clients in the capacity of technical, project, and program management.  He currently provides environmental project management assistance to the US Bureau of Land Management on a $1Billion utility-scale solar project.  Mr. Burke has trained staff in government agencies and private organizations on a variety of environmental requirements and has taught graduate level classes on Environmental Impact Reports.  He is the author of the Ethics Matters articles in the newsletters of the Academy of Board Certified Environmental Professionals (ABCEP), and led the Ethics Webinar at NAEP’s annual conference in Tacoma, Washington, in March, 2018.  He is a Certified Environmental Professional, past President of ABCEP, current member of its Certification Review Board, lifetime member of the National Association of Environmental Professionals, and author of numerous papers and presentations on environmental topics.  He has a BS in Interdepartmental Studies from Stanford University, and an MS in Technology and Human Affairs from Washington University.
