The articles in this issue are not what is normally provided.  Swinging within your own Hula Hoop is a new interpretation of one of our basic tenants as professionals.  We also have a reprint article that highlights the great work being done by Jim Yawn, immediate past president of ABCEP and his employer, the Disney Company.  Don’t forget, we will have Mr. Brett Rohring, the Director of Corporate Citizenship and Environmental Policy as a keynote speaker at the conference next week.  Finally, a treat from down under.  Our article, Lessons Learnt as a Young Professional came to us unsolicited from an American who spent a number of years in Australia.  Jean Wolfers-Lawrence provides a good summary of lessons we all can learn or be reminded of.

There is also plenty of NAEP news including information on the 2014 NAEP Meeting (pg 4),  an update for the January 2013 Board Meeting (pg 10),  topics and registrations instructions for the 2013 APU webinar series (pg 11), links and information for the 2013 Employer Survey (pg 12), Chapter Reports (pgs 13-14), CEP Information (pgs 15 and 18) and the full 2013 NAEP-AEP Joint Meeting Pre-Conference Program (starts on pg 20).

We are always looking for articles for this great practitioner-based publication.  Consider providing our nationwide audience a bit of your professional experience and insight.  What we need is a MS Word document between 1,500 and 3,500 words with photographs, a short personal bio and a picture of you so our readers know who is telling them their story.  It is really important for this publication to represent all fields of professional endeavor and all areas of the country.  If you have an interesting subject or article written by someone else, let me know and we will try to republish it for our audience.

The NAEP National E-News is now accepting advertising on a very limited scale. Advertising helps to offset the costs of producing the improved newsletter. By limiting the amount of advertising in each issue we will be able to maintain the usefulness of the information. If you or your company is interested in supporting the mission of NAEP through advertising in this publication, please call Tim Bower or click the link below for more information. If you are reading this so do many in your potential market. This is a cost effective way to reach them while supporting NAEP.
